Homecoming
One of the biggest dances of the year, especially for freshman and sophomores, is homecoming. It's a time for students to look their best in formal clothing while having fun dancing with their friends.
School Dances
School dances are held throughout the year. The Valentine's Dance is a place for you and someone special to share an evening together.
Prom
The night most high schoolers look forward to, Prom, is a night to dress up and look your best! Remember, though, only Juniors and Seniors can go unless a Freshman or Sophomore is asked by an older student.
Battle of the Bands
Battle of the Bands is where local bands showcase their talent and everyone can go and watch. You can be sure you will hear many different styles of music at this popular event.
Spirit Weeks
Dow High traditionally has three spirit weeks. Two are the weeks before the Midland - Dow football game and the Midland - Dow basketball game. The third is the week leading up to Spring Break. We call it Spring Fever Week. Student Union decides on the theme for each day- like Pajama Day and Backwards Day - and third hour classes get counted for spirit points. There is also a Super Fan competition the week before the football game.
