On-line resources listed below are accessed through the Midland Public Schools' Search Page:
| Alexandria Library Catalog | Allows you to search materials in Dow High Media Center collection by subject, title and author. Materials can then be checked-out at school, or if they are currently checked-out, a request for the materials may be made with the Media Center staff. |
| MEL - Michigan Electronic Library | In depth research databases. They cover almost every subject imaginable including very technical articles. Be sure to select full-text for articles. Materials may be borrowed from all Michigan libraries, including state universities, and shipped to Midland for a quarter. MEL's Best of the WEB is an excellent source for web sites. |
| Grace A. Dow Memorial Library | Library cards are free to City of Midland residents and most Midland county townships. Not only can you view the library's catalog, renew and request books on-line, but you can use the library's extensive Research Resources on-line with your library card. These resources include MEL and many other databases and websites. The library also has an impressive book and periodical collection and an awesome Teen Room! |

| Global Issues in Context | 48 searchable databases. These databases are professionally maintained and are accurate, timely and valid. They include academic journals, magazines, newspapers, websites, images, and citation information on varied subjects including: education, science, current events, history, literature, health and legal issues. Not all articles are full-text. Includes Advanced Search tool. |
| Grolier Online Encyclopedia | This database includes not only articles from Grolier's on-line encyclopedia, but also dictionaries, atlases, multi-media and articles from hundreds of periodicals. This database is especially good for newspapers, current events, images, maps and initial research into a new research topic. |

The Media Center at H. H. Dow has joined the Cartridge World Recycling Program! We will receive $1.00 - $4.00 for each ink cartridge we collect from students, parents, community members, and businesses alike. Best of all, this program will help our environment, keeping all those discarded ink cartridges out of the landfills.
Simply drop off your empty inkjet and / or laserjet cartridges at the school or send them with a student. There are two conveniently located drop-off boxes: in front of the Main Office and in the Media Center. The more cartridges we collect the more money we receive for much needed supplies and paperbacks. What an easy way to raise funds!
Cartridge World, located at 1112 S. Saginaw, refills and remanufactures all inkjet and laserjet cartridges right at their store – if you would prefer to have your cartridge remanufactured at 50% cost savings for your own personal use, you can take your cartridge in, tell them you are supporting H. H. Dow High’s recycling program, and they will credit us with your business! So . . . “THINK --- RECYCLE YOUR INK!”
