DECA is a business-oriented club for high school students who are interested in retail merchandising and marketing. DECA is for business leaders of tomorrow. This group is involved in competition at regional, state, and national levels. The DECA member matches his or her business knowledge against the other DECA members in such areas as general merchandising, fashion and apparel, credit and finance, advertising and display, petroleum marketing, and retail floristry. In DECA, a student learns about entrepreneur skills, the wholesale and retail distribution process, and the basic concepts of the free enterprise system. Students have an opportunity to meet other students and have fun at the regional and state competition.
